Video teasers released for Samsung Galaxy III

Samsung's countdown website for "the next Galaxy" has now reached zero. Unfortunately, the countdown teaser site has now been replaced by, well, nothing actually. The www.tgeltaayehxnx.com site seems to have crashed, most likely due to a ton of traffic from Internet visitors.

However, that isn't stopping Samsung from also releasing two brief teaser videos on YouTube for the upcoming product reveal, which is highly expected to be the Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone. The first 16 second teaser shows a camera panning up to what looks like aurora borealis effects and the words, "For technology to be truly smart, shouldn't it fit into your life naturally?"

The second and longer 63 second teaser takes that effect and goes into deep space as it throws out a bunch of marketing phrases in our cosmic journey. It does have a funny ending, though.

The final reveal is scheduled to be made on Thursday, May 3rd at a press event in London which Samsung is calling its "Unpacked" event; that would suggest more than one product will get its official launch. In the meantime, we will have to wait a bit longer to see if the devices are as interesting as the marketing teaser campaign.

I can't believe that it's gone unmentioned before now, but... isn't that music a little too similar to Bioware's ME2/ME3 theme(s)?

such a shame it has android on it to mess it up and slow it down, could be a very powerful phone otherwise.

This. and touchwiz.

another year, another galaxy android phone owning everything else, HTC and others should be worried and start lowering their price, the galaxy S 2 pretty much destroyed the competition and this seems no exception

My last 2 phones where the HTC Desire and i now have the HTC Sensation, with the success of the GSII i'm quite eager to find out more about the GSIII, and might get my hands on one.

Windows phone is also an option but i feel kinda tied down to android now, and enjoy rooting my phones.

Being tied down is not to say a negative specific to android btw, it would be the case with iPhone and WP as well, buying stuff on any of the 3 major app stores on each of this platforms cannot be transferred to one of the other platforms...perhaps app developers should look into that.

The music of the second trailer..... That reminded me of something.... god, if I could remember.... it sounded like something else I listened to, note by note....

....Mass effect 3...?

It will be interesting to see what they bring to the table with such flashy teaser videos. If it ends up just being another phone with higher specs I'll be a little disappointed.

The day a phone with that arrives (and it will for at least military use) is the day the world goes to hell.

it will be named "the next galaxy". why still guess? samsung has already released the new phone's name.

Yes, don't be a sheep, now go ahead and buy S3 like everyone else.

Because everyone is unique and special.

Really playing to their fandroid base with that one. . I'm sure it will help sell a lot of phones for those um, non-sheep (...yeah...).

yeah that ad is dumb. If everyone owned a Galaxy S III, you would all be sheep in itself. In fact, just buying it would make you a sheep. Go build your own Android device, before it gets too popular and you still become a sheep doing for that.
