Weekend downloadable PC game sales: August 17-19

The weekend is here, and so are some especially nice price cuts for people who are looking to download some new or classic PC games. As we reported before, Ubisoft is celebrating the relaunch of its Uplay service by offering a number of games for 75 percent of their normal price and a few games that will be priced for just one dollar.

Today, you can get From Dust for just one buck and Saturday, that same price will get you a copy of Silent Hunter 5 on Uplay. Finally, on Sunday the very entertaining Driver San Fransisco can be your for just one buck.

The Steam service has Sniper Elite V2 on sale for 66 percent off its normal price this weekend. Also, both games in the Alan Wake series have a 75 percent price cut for the next few days.

GamersGate has a number of games with big price cuts, including Civilization V for just $7.49. GoG.com has quite a few classic first person shooters on sale, including Unreal and Unreal Tournament, on sale for 50 percent off their normal price.

Finally, GameStop also has some games for sale this weekend, including Company of Heroes Gold for a mere $7.49.
