Who needs December? Jelly Bean skips December from Date Picker

It came as a shock to many when Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) users discovered Google had forgotten to include the month of December on the Date Picker feature of the People application. We know that the error has now been reviewed by Google and a fix is on its way, but we have no idea how this was even missed out in the first place.

We’ve always thought that calendars have been something of a problem to manufacturers and software developers, considering how Microsoft and Sony messed up its leap year for their respective games consoles, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and we know Apple has made errors with the UK bank holidays displayed in iOS earlier this year.

With Google being one of the world’s biggest companies, it seems unlikely that it would mess up with something as simple as just including all the months in a year, unless it’s just Google’s way of avoiding the foretold Mayan apocalypse.

We’ll keep you posted when a fix is available.
