Wii Internet Channel Update

Many users are reporting that the Nintendo Wii Internet Channel (powered by Opera) has been updated to provide new features, feature improvements, and performance improvements. The Internet channel has been available as a free trial for several months, but this new version, once downloaded, is available for as long as your Wii is, and better yet: free until June 30, 2007.

New features include built-in search, better zooming, collapsible toolbars, improved scrolling, improved ease-of-use, multiple cursors, and parental controls. Performance has been much improved, as well. This is definitely a step up from what we had before, thanks to Opera and Nintendo!

If i was nintendo, i would at least wait a year or 2 before making people have to pay for it.. Since if you look at the sales of the Wii, they are so damm great right now..

I don't own a nintendo Wii yet because there to hard to get ahold of right now.

No, we can use it freely at any time. After june 30th anyone who hasn't already downloaded it will need to pay for the download just like we have to pay for games on virtual console.

I'm sorry for my poor comprehension of the english language, since it is not my first language.. But:

The Internet channel has been available as a free trial for several months, but this new version, once downloaded, is available for as long as your Wii is, and better yet: free until June 30, 2007.

Does this mean we'll have to pay for the internet channel after June 30, or does it mean we must pay for it if we haven't downloaded it by then? Me not get it.

Nevermind.. After browsing over to the opera press release i found this:

This version of the browser remains a free download until June 30, 2007, and once downloaded is free for the lifetime of the system.

Guess I should use my super awesome clicking and reading skills a bit more before posting next time
