i'm pretty sure NASCAR fans wouldn't know what this is. after all they still have crt monitors and a celeron processor in their dust covered set up.

If you already have a Surface, the chances are you already have a touch cover. And I doubt that there would be many people who actually like NASCAR (for the racing that is, the crashes are ok) so it seems like a fairly useless prize.

I thought NASCAR was a big thing in the States?

It sis, but NASCAR fans are more into drinking beer and getting with their cousin/sister than technology, so I think this contest is missing its target demographic.

I like technology, beer, and Nascar... No so much getting with my cousin/sister.

Seriously, big money goes into Nascar. Some really really nice motor homes pull into the infields of these places. People come from Canada to some of these events. (Probably other parts of the world too)...

Yeah no one cares about NASCAR apart from American rednecks. Everyone else has got better things to do than watch a bunch of billy-joe-bobs drive in a circle.

It amazes me how people perpetuate the stereotypes. Continue to think what you want but the fact of the matter is there is a lot of educated and affluent fans of NASCAR and the fan base is far more diverse then portrayed. Case in point.... I work for a fortune 500 pharmaceutical company and pull down a reasonable salary., I am not a redneck beer swilling bill-joe-bob. I have a Microsoft Surface, an Xbox, a Windows Phone 8x and oh - by the way I also know who Alex Bowman is. Thank you Steven for the post.
