Windows 8 'Genuine Center' and other images surface

It has been a few weeks since the last Windows 8 image has leaked but that streak has come to an end thanks to @sp3ciali5t on Twitter. The latest image shows that Microsoft will be working hard to fight piracy in Windows 8 much like it has in previous versions of its popular OS.

The screen shows the action status of your OS, the current edition, activation date, and if the software on your PC is genuine or not. While the page may appear simple, if Microsoft is willing to educate consumers on this part of the OS, they may be able to help prevent PCs sold with counterfeit software.

Not much else is shown on this image but does show that there are copies of Windows 8 floating outside the walls of Microsoft. Windows 8 is expected to enter beta, possibly as soon as this fall, with OEM availability in late 2012 and possible retail availability in January 2013.

Update: Winfuture.de has also posted up more pictures, while not all new, they do provide more shots of the Genuine Center.
