Windows 8 gets a licence to thrill with Bond, James Bond

There's nothing quite like going to a big epic action movie in the theater. One of the biggest movies of 2012 comes out in the US on November 9th with the launch of the latest James Bond spy thriller, Skyfall. Now a company has announced plans to offer some people a chance to see the movie, while at the same time learning about Windows 8.

MCPc, a company that helps businesses with their PC purchases and setups, has announced plans to hold events in 10 movie theaters in the US on Skyfall's premiere date. Not only will attendees see Daniel Craig do some damage to the bad guys, they will also get demos of Windows 8 and its features, running on the Latitude 10 Tablet and the Latitude 6430u Ultrabook from Dell.

It sounds like these events are made for IT and PC professional users and not for the general public. With that in mind, if you live near one of the 10 cities you can sign up to attend the Skyfall-Windows 8 event. You will get a $10 Amazon gift card just for registering and the company will also allow people to register for a chance to win a Latitude 10 Tablet.

No thanks, I'm going to the pre-première in two days and have a go with all Sony's new stuff they'll be showing.

George Lazenby was my favourite, I have to say that Daniel Craig is good as bond though seeing as the first two films he was in were very much action films with the lack of gadgets.

Indeed, Lazenby is a legend. His role worked out perfectly in OHMSS, considering the story in the film.

Agreed and it's the only Bond film he was in, he refused to play the role again.

Dalton was unfortunate to have some of the worst Bond movies, but he fit the role better than anyone else in my opinion.

Daniel Craig is no real Bond, Windows 8 (in my humble opinion) is no real Windows.

Perfect couple.

As a Mac user I would expect a comment like that from you!!!!

Craig is the best bond since Moore. You do not know what you are talking about.

LOL!! Good one.

Daniel Craig is the best Bond ever, just like Windows 8 is the best Windows ever! (My opinion)

The fact that you refer to Moore as the best Bond loses you all credibility

Sean Connery any day of the week for me! Daniel Craig is pretty excellent too - he'd be my second choice I think.

I'd agree.

Sean

George
Moore

I didn't though, did i? What I said was, before you made an arse out of yourself, is that Craig was the best to come along SINCE Moore. I did not say Moore was the best; only that Craig was the best SINCE Moore portrayed Bond. Meaning exuding Connery.

Here is my top 3:

Connery.
Moore.
Craig.

Next time; take your time and try to fully comprehend what you are responding to.

Your sign "GS:mac" says it all, you just could post empty comment, but with your signature left under the windows or other OS article (except the Mac) and it would be enough for us to get your thought.

You take it way too seriously lol

I didn't even judge Windows, I think Microsoft intentionally broke with many traditions with Windows 8.
That's all I meant.

But sure, go ahead and misinterpret.
Oh by the way, I think my track record on Neowin is, that whilst I cannot stand Windows 8 on the desktop, I'm overall a happy camper in any OS, even BSD to some extend if just for playing around at the moment (OS X aside, which is BSD based).

All I wanted to do is have a little fun and post the joke in a lighthearted way, I was doubting whether I should do it, but I felt like I could as well try it.

Oh and: equating my choice of computer and main OS to my openness towards anything or Windows in this particular case seems pretty close minded to me, something you wanted to suspect me of.
Hmmm...

Nice - I reply with a bit of light-hearted banter (the winking smiley) was the clue and you use the chance to jump down my throat. Way to miss the point!

You made no mention of Connery in your post - only that Craig was the best since Moore. Easy to see why I'd comment why I did.

Lighten the hell up.
