About The Hardware that comes with Windows XP Media Center Edition

Microsoft Windows XP Media Center edition includes hardware that makes the unique remote interaction possible. The remote control sends command information to the computer. Those commands are received by the remote sensor. Your computer may have either a built-in remote sensor or a remote sensor that's connected to the computer with a USB cable. Take note of where your remote sensor is located. You will need to point the remote at the remote sensor or the commands will not be received.
