Xbox One games on sale for $49 at Amazon, Walmart

Did you stand in line to get an Xbox One console yesterday? If you did, you weren't alone as Microsoft says that they've sold over a million shiny new consoles since launch, less than 48 hours ago. If you didn't have much money to buy many games, you might be in luck today.

WalMart has most of their Xbox One games on sale for only $49, and store pickup is available. While not all of them are at a reduced price (Battlefield 4, for example, is still regular price), you can pick up most of the Xbox One titles for this deal. For those of you who don't like shopping at Walmart, Amazon has matched the prices and also has the same selection available.

If you wanted a game but couldn't afford it, or know an Xbox One gamer in your life that needs an upcoming holiday gift, today's the day to shop. This news may be frustrating for those of you who pre-ordered some of the titles, and we're not sure if Amazon will price-match after the fact. Their official policy is that they don't, but there's no harm in asking.

You can buy new batteries if you want, but the system comes with AA, just like the 360 did. The benefit of this over the PS4 is that if the batteries die, you can pop new ones in (either AA or Lithium Ion).

why? years down the road, it won't even matter... it doesn't really increase your re-sale values, especially it is the first-hardware iteration.

Like right now.. would you even buy xbox 360 day one edition used on ebay?

atari 2600 is the iconic achievement of gaming console. That's like saying people would buy the very first Commodore 64 or Apple II...
You'd be kidding yourself to equate Xbox 360 or XBox One in the same crowning achievements as these milestone products. (maybe 30 some years from now.. when we turn into our 60s or 70s...the nostalgic feeling kicking in....in our retirement home.. xbox anyone?)

Green man gaming have DR3 and Forza 5 at £39.99 if you're after any of them, Ryse too but it's out of stock at the minute.

Yeah I receive $10-$11 refunds on all of my Amazon game purchases for X1 Games.

Did you guys need to ask for the refund, or did Amazon just do it for you?

FYI, I pre-ordered a game from Amazon, and they refunded me the difference (about $11.50) to my gift card balance, I was notified via email 12+ hours ago.
