Zune Tattoo Guy Goes All Out, Changes Name to Microsoft Zune

First, number one Zune fan Steven Smith got a Zune tattoo on his arm. Then, he went and got a second Zune tattoo on the other arm, and a few months later picked up a third tattoo opposite the first one on his back. Rather than continue to make his body a canvas for promoting the Zune, he's actually found a way to take this further.

Three tattoos later, what's a man to do? Change your name to "Microsoft Zune," natch. The initial legal consensus seems to believe that the name change is possible under trademark laws just as long as the individual is not benefiting from it or doing harm to the company in any way. Guilty on both accounts we're afraid.

complete NUTTER, why woudl anyone do somethign like this, ok you like the zune a lot and get one tatoo, but why any more,

Prime candidate for a darwin award sometime in the future.

Either Microsoft has been behind this the whole time or he's just trying to get some attention from them to try making some money out of it.

Either way it's pretty stupid

Despite what many may believe, I see NO WAY Microsoft could be using this guy for publicity.

Think about it for a moment. If you were Microsoft and wanted to identify someone who would positively brand your product, would you choose him?

I think this is just a hardcore fan.

I would imagine even the hardest of the hardcore Apple followers won't change their names to something like Mr. Macintosh. :cheeky: Actually that name in itself is just fine, unlike Mr. "Microsoft Zune." Seriously, WTF.

I sure do love this news article.

I'd actually never heard of Zune tattoo guy.

Maybe I don't lurk enough.

Hrm..

He should change his name THEN apply for a job at Apple... (preferably in their iPod division/section) :P

He must not have any friends. How you could you talk to your friends and be like "hey, my new name is Microsoft Zune." Its like, wtf?

what a complete idiot
he's going to go around introducing himself like this: "hi, my name is Microsoft Zune"?
no one will ever take him seriosuly

Microsoft must be paying him a large sum of money to act this stupid

some people are naturally stupid, microsoft doesn't need to pay them

I think this guy needs a visit from the men in white coats.

They can home him in his own private room, with the soft bouncy walls and a box of crayons, and no Zune.
