RocketCake 7.0

RocketCake is a free web editor for creating responsive websites. For beginners and professional web developers. No programming needed. No need to learn any HTML or CSS. Just click, drag"n"drop or type. But of course, you are still free to mix in your own code, if you like. Edit the website as it appears on your device. Switch at any time to view and editor it as on any other tablet, PC or mobile. Rocket Cake has built in support for all important HTML elements: image galleries, slideshows, resizable containers, stylish buttons, gradients, HTML 5 video, audio, and more.

  • The editor spits out clean HTML/CSS code. You also can use it as base for your more complicated websites or template for your server scripts.

  • Specify your own break points to adjust the website just as you like. The flexible break point editor makes it extremely easy.

Professional Edition

  • There is a professional edition with the option to insert custom CSS, HTML, JavaScript, PHP code, user-defined breakpoint code and premium support.

RocketCake 7.0 changelog:

CSS Animations
RocketCake now supports creating CSS Animations - through a very simple interface which still makes it possible to set complex and modern looking animations:

  • You can right-click any element, select "Animations..." and add an animation.
  • The animation can be started when the element scrolls into the view, when the user clicks or hovers an element, it can be simply shown always and more.
  • Animation settings can be named and shared between elements. If you adjust the animation, it will be automatically adjusted on all elements using this animation
  • There are a couple of built-in animations like fading, bouncing, rotating, blurring, etc which can be easily adjusted
  • You can set custom animations with your own keyframes
  • Animations automatically honor the "prefers-reduced-motion" setting of users browers, for example not to trigger discomfort for users with vestibular motion disorders
  • Animations which trigger when the element comes into view automatically keep track of the element state so you don"t have to manually fiddle around with any CSS or element states.

HTML Import

  • RocketCake can now import HTML files into your project.
  • Use the menu File -> Import for this.
  • This is supposed to be used for importing simple, older html pages into your project.
  • It works nicely for importing for example some old simple Frontpage, Dreamweaver or WebsitePainter created projects, or even for partially restoring RocketCake projects in case you lost your project files.
  • It won"t work for large complex pages using JavaScript and other features.

Shopping Cart component / Web Shop component

  • There is now a downloadable shopping cart / web shop component available. With it, you can take orders for various products via email and/or whatsapp. It has many ways to customize it, and supports many languages and VAT.
  • You have full control over it - for example email orders sent through it are processed on your own server. Note that it only takes and sends orders which need to be manually handled by you - it doesn"t do payment or invoice processing.
  • Get it here.

Table pasting support

  • You can now copy a table from other apps like Excel, a Browser or similar apps and paste them directly into RocketCake. The editor will then create a table element in your html designer.

Larger project support

  • When you are using RocketCake with very large project (.rcd) files with a couple of GBs in size - which is not recommended because it slows down the editor significantly - this now also still works.
  • RocketCake will now also print a warning once your project reaches a certain limit and recommends steps how to continue working.
  • Use the 64 bit version of RocketCake for this which now supports reading very large project files.

Breakpoint support for padding and margins

  • It"s now easily possible to also change padding and margins on a website dynamically via breakpoint editor, so you can more easily adjust your website to various screen sizes.

New and improved templates

  • There are a few new free templates available, and the existing ones have been updated with more modern layouts.

Editor improvements

  • Several improvements made to bullet point editing in text editor
  • The editor now supports images with "auto, auto" sizes
  • Improvements to the rendering speed

Other, smaller changes

  • Gallery next and prev buttons now have a nicer position on most smaller devices
  • Downloadable contact form components now for nicely with case insensitive pages as well
  • Improved french translation
  • Installer now creates a single app icon instead of a group in the start menu
  • Improved aria label support for manual links
  • Updated modern defaults in most dialogs
  • Performance improvements
  • And a lot more
