    Heyyy... wussup. I was wodnering if there was anyway to get a monster mx400 to use all speaker outputs under windows XP. My friend has a Klipsch 4.1 Pro Media speaker set, and just tried XP with his card/speaker setup. Unfortuntaely, only the sub and two speakers work, and I haven't really found articles that may help toget the setup working right... Just wondering if there is any way to get this right, or if it's a lost cause. Thanks a lot peeps!

  6. Audigy and Digital out put not working?

    i have altec lansing ADA 880 speakers and a new Creative Soundblaster Audigy. i plugged in my digital cable from the speakers to the digital cable on the back of the sound card. i booted up and set up everything fine but no sound was played from my speakers! i set it back to analoge and it worked. are these speakers not compatible in 5.1 with the 24-bit sound? or is my card defective? also if anyone else has these speakers could you tell me what cable you used to plug the spdif cable from the speakers to the soundcard, i have a cable which lookes like a RCA cable and on the other end if it i put a converter which looks like a regular headphone mini-jack. it worked on my S…

  8. processor cache deciding to disable itself

    yeah.. on my k6-2 400 it seems that the cache has turned itself off... diagnostic programs say it's disabled and even moo.dll says so too. So... my question is... how do i re-enable it? there is absolutely no option for it in the bios at all... or could this be a sign it burned itself out and it's time for a new processor? (and no i didn't over clock this one) oh and... please don't move this, this doesn't have anything to do with hardware compatibility at all... plus.. this is the general forum... you know... where anything goes...

    Well, not always jerky, but at regular intervals it chokes, stutters, then recovers and is peachy for about four or five minutes longer. WTF?     I have a: 450 TNT2 Soundblaster live 1024 256 RAM My computer runs slower than my brothers: 400 TNT Onboard Sound 64 Ram The only thing that I can say that could cause any sort of slow down is that my Graphics and sound are both on TRQ 11...And neither want to change....I've run Win 98, Win 98 SE and Windows Me...and don't know why they both put themselves on the same IRQ on every O/S....If you know any program that you can manually select IRQs with or just a way to change IRQs in Windows Me (my current O/S) Then please reply

  14. Pc Chips M830LR Motherboard Question

    The motherboard is supposed to be compatible with a 1.4 Athlon chip. I installed the chip, started the computer, was able to get to the bios and that was it. Now the computer will start, but won't boot up. No beeps no nothing. Just the cpu fan runs, cd-roms open up, but that it? Checked video card, memory, tried different cpu's(800 duron, 1.1 athlon, 1.4 athlon). Is the power supply blown? Bad motherboard? Thanks.

    (this is for winXp, sorry I didn't say so before) Since 3dfx isn't around anymore, and Nvida who bought the damn company won't release any new drivers. Anyone know if there is a way to get these drivers to work FULLY. Like with the 3dfx tools so I can use tvout etc. I always use my tvout. I know I really need to get a new card but hey when you don't got the money, it's hard too buy one. I'll get a new one, one day. Thx in advance.

    yeah... one of the other computers i have, freshly installed and i still get ****... it's k6-2 400, hell... a cyrix 300 out preforms this thing.... so i'm thinking the cache might have burned out/gone bad... how would i verify this myself without taking to someone and paying them to see?

    I've got this laptop here, IBM 380XD, 2 sticks of 32MB. As I know from the specs, says that 96MB RAM is the max allowed. Why only that? Why a max at all? I would like to add another stick of 128 MB at least in there (since I'm running Windows 2000 on it). I've hit the search engines and it all says more ram is "better" (I know its not neccesarily true..there are other things-yadda yadda). What would happen, if anything, if I added more RAM than the MOBO specifies?

    Hi all! Me and my friend are about to upgrade our PC's, and wish to buy an Athlon (266FSB), and DDR - I dont have a clue about motherboards/chipsets tbh - so which motherboard should we get - and most importantly which one causes least probs with 2000/XP? I'd prefer a slightly slower reliable mobo than a fast one which botched up Soundblaster suppport etc... Ive been lookin at the Asus ones A7A(the ALi chipset r sumthin) A7M (MP760 i think) and the A7S (SIS 725 r sumthin) I heard the A7M has some probs with soundblaster, And the A7A is slightly slow - so i dunno wtf to think eheh Anywayz, any help would be much appreciated :)

    I just purchases a new computer 1.33 ghz 512 megs of ram, and some toher stuff, while toying around in the bios there was a option that said something about it would shut down the system if tempertures were too high, or something my room is not even warm and i ahve my case open, but it shuts down everytime i start up before i get in the bios? can anywone hlep Also i have a 64 meg geforce 3 does that mean i can set the bios graphics aperure size to 64? or are they 2 different things?

    I've just bought a new Dell Precision 530 -it's great :) Anyways, after installing a hardware dvd decoder card (the quadro2 card doesn't support software decoding)...I've onlt got two PCI slots left -that's fine.     I just got my hands on a Gigabyte GA-5AA mobo to replace my old vxpro board. but under win98/win98se/winnt4/win2k I cannot get very good connections to my ISP. (I know its old - but this machine does run pretty schweet - It will be a gift to my nephew when I upgrade by the end of the year) I did try the modem on another machine and it does work fine on my other PC.
