Need more info on this TV model

I'm looking for a cheap but decent LCD HDTV in the 22"ish size. I've come across this TV FLUID 24 INCH 1080P LCD HDTV Which has decent specs for $250, but I can't find ANYTHING about the manufacturer on the internet. Does anybody know anything about this TV/manufacturer? Is it a rebadge of another model? Anyone have any better recommendations. I need a tv that has both an NTSC and ATSC tuner, 1080p is preferable, but not required. Size around 22", but bigger is better. Price range below $300.

My Samsung BD-P1600 has proven itself to be unreliable. Not only that, but the new firmware updates for it have more issues than the older ones. The fact that I can?t even update my player because Samsung can?t quality control their firmware is just plain ridiculous and I?ve had it. I?ve now decided to go and buy the Sony BDP-S360 to replace it. So, my question is: Is this a stable Blu-ray player? Meaning?.will it play EVERY Blu-ray disc I throw in it flawlessly without any hiccups or freezes? I don?t care about any extra steaming, online stuff, etc. The ONLY thing I care about is stability. That?s it! Anyone who owns this player and uses it very frequently, I?d great a…

Hey guys, I have a problem here since I'm new to home theatre thing. I have a Samsung LCD TV and an LG dvd player which supports 5.1. It works well while playing a DVD, but I just cannot get my usual TV to work with the external speakers. The TV has the option to use them and DVD player manual says it can be setup like that and I do that. But whatever I do, there is no sound. I am connecting audio out from TV to audio in to dvd player. http://img696.imageshack.us/i/img1804p.jpg/ - this is the cable i use http://img684.imageshack.us/i/img1802h.jpg/ - dvd player http://img360.imageshack.us/i/img1801p.jpg/ - tv http://img121.imageshack.us/i/img1800od.jpg/ - tv is the …

I'm currently researching parts for a home theater and I wanted to get some opinions on what I've been looking at pretty hard. Right now I have a Mitsubishi 60" DLP 1080p hdtv, time warner dvr/hdtv tuner through hdmi, PS3 which servers as my bluray player and media center streamed from my pc, wii, and a power conditioner. I'm currently looking at these components: Sony STR-DA3400ES 7.1 Channel AV Receiver http://www.amazon.com/Sony-STR-DA3400ES-7-1-Channel-Receiver/dp/B001CSAHKW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1266133419&sr=8-1 Definitive Technology ProCinema 600 5.1 Speaker System http://www.amazon.com/Definitive-Technology-ProCinema-Speaker-System…

Built in and black mesh
by busterbrit- 4 replies

I'm having a custom built in for my TV and had a some questions. I want to make sure I don't do anything I regret after. I'm putting the speakers above the TV. The speakers will be in their own section with the black mesh covering them. Will the black mesh cause any problems? would it be much better to leave this area uncovered (although the wife will not like that) for sound reasons? All the components will be below the TV in a cupboard. I'm putting black mesh on the front instead of glass to help it breath better. I have a few questions about this part: -Will the black mesh help keep things cooler? -Will my PS3 and wii get a good signal through the black mesh?…

I have a Sony LCD 46Z4100 TV and today when I turned on the TV this morning I received a mandatory firmware update message and it proceed with the update on it's own. I don't have Internet and the only input source is my home made HDTV antenna. So is this possible that Sony is putting out firmware updates over the air? My firmware became FE-1.96_BE-1.429c has anyone experienced this or have any insight?

Society and Movies
by DaDude- 7 replies

As you can see, some of the most popular Blu-ray movies are: Up, The Wizard of Oz, Pinocchio, Snow White, etc. Most of us adults here at Home Theater forums appreciate these movies, regardless of whether they?re ?for kids.? So, why does society frown upon adults buying these kinds of movies? When I told my friends and some of my relatives that I own The Wizard of Oz and Pinocchio and I plan on buying Snow White and Up soon, they all looked at me like I was crazy. They were puzzles why an adult like me would be interested in ?kids? movies. And these are top selling titles, so I know there were MANY adults out there that bought these movies. And I know why.... Because the…

Samsung 8500 series Question

I set up my new TV, Samsung UN55B8500 today using the picture settings here: http://forums.cnet.com/5208-19410_102-0.html?threadID=362468&tag=mncol;txt Anyway, while I was setting it up, I noticed that when I turn "LED Motion Plus" to "On" in the Advanced Settings menu, the left half of the screen is noticably darker than the right side of the screen. Is there anyone who has this TV that has noticed this? I'm kind of worried there's something wrong with it, but also think it may just be a setting somewhere.

Wiring PC, PS3 and TV together

Hello ladies and gents, I am facing a bit of conundrum. I am trying to manage audio/video connections of the following components: - Creative Audigy 2 ZS - HP LP2475w - Playstation 3 Slim - Sennheiser RS120 wireless headphones - Logitech X-140 speakers To follow: - Toshiba Regza 32-in FullHD 1080p LCD TV What I'd like to do is as follows (aka Action Plan): 1. Connect audio from PC to speakers and headphones -- easy, a 3.5mm stereo splitter does the job. 2. Connect video from PS3 to PC monitor (later, this video feed will be to TV instead) -- no problem, PC monitor has HDMI input 3. Connect audio from PS3 to speakers and headphones -- difficult, as output from …

How to Watch Video From PC to TV?
by Sir Topham Hatt- 20 replies

Hello! Okay, my graphics card is currently a ATI 4800 HD, but only has two digital outpuds and a small circle shape plug in the middle. I do have some converter plugs to make them into the old RGB connector which will enable me to use the TV I have like a projector. However, how would I go about doing this? Would buying a new graphics card be easier with the proper connections? Also, what about sound? Obviously the above solution would only transfer video, but currently my speakers are positioned around the computer, not the TV. Thanks

Dvd Player + good speakers vs Micro Hi Fi vs ?

Hiya, My Samsung HT-Z210 died yesterday, it is out of warranty. I tried searching the net for answers to the error but seem to find none. I have also posted a topic for a solution to the problem I had with the samsung ht but it has received no response, most likely it won't, thus this thread. Now I have no stereo system. I simply want to have a decent set up with a remote control that will enable me to listen to music. If its able to play video files, well and good but that is not a requirement. Please suggest any brands / products you recommend below. Thanks. CS

Has anyone had any experience with RCA HDTVs? Someone local is selling this model: http://tv.rca.com/en-us/modeldetail.html?MN=L42FHD37 And the only reviews I can find are at walmart.com, and while those are all positive, I don't exactly trust walmart.com If anyone has any opinion on their quality and overall image, please let me know. I have an opportunity to maybe pick up this 42" 1080p TV for about $400 locally. Thanks!

Samsung Ht-z210 -- Disc Error
by celestialspring- 0 replies
Hi, I have a samsung ht z-210 which I bought last year but has been sparingly used. Yesterday, it was running a CD-R disc properly. I put it on pause and went to the kitchen. On coming back it stopped playing. I thought the cd-r had some problem but now its not loading any CDs or DVDs. It shows "loading" for a long time and then says "Disk Error". May I ask for any solutions known to the big minds here to fix this problem?? Thanks. cs
