All of a sudden today my fujifilm A345 started taking pictures with a small weird white spot. Almost like a dead pixel. I thought maybe the lens was dirty so I cleaned it. Still the dot stayed. I dont know if it helps, but the small dot even appears on the lcd screen. The worst thing is ive got this thing for sale on ebay. I know its a small dot but still... Does anyone know what this is? Has anyone had any experience with fujifilms warranty department? Are they knowen to be good or bad? I dont think I have the receit for this cam anymore, but I know its under a year old. On The closest "Authorized Repair Location Near You" is a place called Strauss Photo Technical …

New Camera - ebay

Well i've decided to upgrade my camera since I feel it's not giving the type of shots I want ( canon sd400) i'm more into telephoto and macro shots, and while my current cam provides nice shots it's not the quality I want... So anyway. I've managed to get around $750 which I think/know isn't enough to get a dSLR like a Rebel, So... I've been searching ebay and i've found they have awesome camera bundles like this one Clicky Which brings all sorts of goodies, lens, extra batteries and all new! plus warranties and all the "good" stuff you'd get at a normal shop!! the seller has 100% positive feedback out of 7k which doesn't seem bad at all. Still even with the good feedb…

Negatives -> Digital pics
by dheaddy- 1 reply

I've got about 10 35mm films from my gap year which I developed back in the day. However, I would also like these films in a digital format as well. To save me scanning the 100s of photos myself, I was wondering if anyone knew of any places in the UK that would take the negatives and process them straight into digital pics. Thanks in advance

I'm seeking to upgrade my Kodak Easyshare DX7630 whenever a camera that meets the following criteria comes out: At least 7 megapixels Image stabilization Ultracompact size Good image quality Preferably a decent VGA movie mode, but I won't worry too much about this. Hopefully under $500 When will such cameras be out? By the end of the year, maybe?

Right now I have a Fujifilm A345 4.1 mpcamera. Its a so so camera, plus with the expensive xD memory ive decided to get something else. I wanna move to a 5.1 cam, which has cheap media. Like SD or something. Right now im looking at these 2 cameras: Kodak EasyShare Z730 Silver 5.0 MP Digital Camera 4X Optical Zoom Kodak V530 Black 5.0 MP Digital Camera 3X Optical Zoom Got any others that I should take a look at (Dont mind brand, as long as its good). Opinions of either of those 2 cameras? The cam I have now uses normal batteries. It looks to me like a lot of these other cams use battery backs, which I dont like since I recently bought great sony rechargeable batteri…

Nikon N60 SLR
by IK47- 11 replies

Hey, My Dad bought a Nikon N60 SLR right when it came out ( about 1998) with the insurance money we got when his N50 was stolen. The thing is, however, neither my dad or myself know how to use cameras. Since my dad bought this, he has used it twice: once at a wedding, and once during a vacation. He has the camera body, a lens (don't know if it came with it, but probably did) and a body-fitting case. Is this a good camera? Is it worth keeping? How much can this thing sell for?

Recommendations on photography books?
by dieterich- 2 replies

I realize that the same ideas and principles can be applied to film and digital, but what books(if any) have any of you found to be the ones that gave you the greatest "epiphany" of your photography life? I'd love to find some that focus more on digital than film, but any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I'm by no means a professional so a beginner to intermediate read would be great. :D
