JustGeorge
So I installed the Windows 10 Anniversary Update and after my PC restarted, my OS was no longer activated. I selected the MS support Chat option and began chatting with a nice lady about what happened. She remoted into my PC to reactivate Windows. Apparently, MS support doesn't have access to internal tools that allow them to see the currently installed key because she downloaded a key viewer. This is the funny part: after downloading the tool, she opened Explorer to browse to the file. she quickly....and I mean quickly closed the window because at the bottom, under recent files was a pretty good selection of adult videos, meticulously labled "Porn_Vid_1, Porn_Vid_2", etc.... I was laughing pretty hard after that. Good thing we were chatting instead of a call! She was very professional and never mentioned it. She just did her job Hum 1 Share

wendy oltman
lol that was an embarrassing moment right there. I would definitely close all such 'things' before getting live support like this. Anyhow she played it like a professional lady.

They had to do it twice, actually. First time was right after I built my new PC and called them to because my key wouldn't activate on the new hardware. This was the second time they had to remote in. My license deactivated after installing the anniversary update. I thought it was odd that they had to remote in as well, but I chalked it up to a new policy regarding Windows 10. Quote lol that was an embarrassing moment right there. Just didn't expect them poking about explorer

Those aren't the actual file names right? It would be way more embarrassing if the files were descriptive (man_assrape_vid, woman_and_herdog_vid, etc...). 39 minutes ago, wendy oltman said: lol that was an embarrassing moment right there. I would probably think it was a scam or something sinister, since I've had activation issues in the past and they were all resolved with a quick phone call. Depends on who you get, when I called to fix the free media centre update that lost activation, the first tech said she wanted to remote assist but something needed a restart and asked if I could ring back in 5 mins, when I rang back I spoke to a different person and he was able to just give me a new activation key.
