Jpaw Posted October 20, 2016 Share Posted October 20, 2016 (edited) I have no experience with network security, I have spent the last 11 years in the real estate business (property management / leasing/sales), I am going to enter the network security profession, I am very interested in pentesting and intrusion detection and I have been studying very hard for and will take my SY0-401 exam in December, once I pass: what other certification(s) would be valuable to pursue? what are some entry - level jobs / job titles I should look for? what particular software(s) would you recommend I become familiar with? where / how can I practice network configuration and or pentesting without having to download a bunch of sh*& (I am paranoid about downloading anything)?
