T3X4S
The ASUS PB278Q monitor is a very nice 1440p monitor, the only problem is - it comes as 60Hz. Thankfully, the folks @ ASUS used a very nice PLS screen & it is capable of much more than 60Hz. To OC, you need (2) pieces of software, which patch the drivers ( for nVidia grfx card owners) & the other app creates custom refresh rates. The wares are:nvlddmkm-patchercru 1.2.6 If you have an AMD card, you're dumb.... no Im kidding - you can use this: atikmdag The folks over @ TweakTown have made a step by step. They claimed a reliable OC of 85Hz (anything more yielded no visible difference, and above 100Hz - the screen went Out of Range. Once the NV patch is applied, you can use the nVidia Control Panel to create a custom refresh rate & test it. Right now, I am @ 72Hz w/ no problems & will bump up to 85Hz next. I realize this HowTo doesnt apply to many people, but over @ monitortests.com they have all different test files for many monitor OCs.
