benjamine6
The Nintendo switch looks like it'll be a very nice innovation of a console. And i am pretty excited for it. I have started packing loose change to try to get one at launch. Also, since of course the switch is also a portable, should i trade in my very good condition New Nintendo 3DS XL for credit if i come up short? DrunknMunky Veteran Posted October 23, 2016 Veteran Share Posted October 23, 2016 Nintendo has said that the Switch is not replacing the 3DS, and since the Switch won't be backwards compatible, you may want to hold onto your 3DS and games for a bit longer. FrancoisC
They also said the DS wouldn't replace the GB Advance at the time, so we'll see about that

Nintendo even released the 2nd re-designed GBA in 2005 after launching the DS in 2004 I don't think we're about to see Nintendo exit the handheld market with the Switch, and they'll still want a cheaper 3DS (or a successor) to be available. spaceelf
I'd say keep it, save up, and if you do come up short just keep saving. I doubt the game selection will be worth shorting your existing kit for it at first. DrunknMunky 1 Share
