Microsoft releases a new Office Insider build for Mac - here's what's new

Microsoft today announced a new build of Office for Mac for Insiders on the Slow ring. The December update brings the version number to 15.29 (16120401).

Like the last couple of updates, today's build only brings a few new features. Here's what's new:

  • Accessibility built right in: We've improved support for using your keyboard, VoiceOver, and other assistive technology to read and edit documents, worksheets, and presentations.

  • Hyperlinks in PDF files: In Word, retain your document fidelity, with working hyperlinks, when converting documents to PDF.

To check for updates, head over to Help -> Check for updates -> Check for updates. If you're not on the Office Insider Program just yet, you can sign up by using the same menu. Today's update is for the Slow ring, but there's a Fast ring as well.

If you're not feeling adventurous and want to stick to stable builds, you'll likely see this update later this month, as they tend to move from the Slow to Production rings within about two weeks.
