TAG Heuer could announce its most intricate Android Wear smartwatch in March

It has been a couple years since TAG Heuer announced its first Android Wear smartwatch, the TAG Heuer Connected. It now appears that the company will announce a follow-up that will offer some unique features.

According to the folks at Android Central, a new Android Wear 2.0 watch is ready to be unveiled in roughly a month's time and is being dubbed the 'TAG Connected Modular'. What makes the watch special is that it will offer "fully customizable lugs complete with a choice of straps and clasps to swap at your convenience". If indeed the lugs can be swapped, this would mean that the watch would effectively come in three components: the watch case, lugs, and movement. To solidify this idea a bit, the Modular will also offer the option of converting to a more traditional timepiece with analog components. This design would indeed make TAG Heuer's latest entry extremely intricate and highly customizable.

Similar to its first Android Wear offering, users can expect to pay a pretty penny when this model is announced. While Mobile World Congress is just a couple of weeks away, the source states that this watch will most likely debut in mid-March.
