At work, I use a Windows virtual machine. I think the base OS is Linux if that's relevant.
I access a website where I need to search names and find information on an individual. For newer records, there's no issue (usually) because I can access a link corresponding to the information I need. For older records, there's no link and therefore I need to save the page as a PDF. I'm using Internet Explorer to do this, since Firefox doesn't seem to have a print to PDF or save as PDF option.
As I continue on, I get to a point where the print to PDF just stops working. In other words, I'll right click and select print to PDF, but nothing happens. Sometimes the workaround is to simply close everything and delete the history and cache in IE. Other times, this doesn't work. I have to log out of the windows virtual machine and log into a different one. Maybe an hour or two later, I encounter the same issue again.
Is this a symptom of working in a VM or is something in Internet Explorer or Windows causing this to happen?
