HP reduces Elite x3 price by 5% in the UK again, also includes free 'Privacy Screen'

The price of HP's Elite x3 continues its curious rise and fall in the UK. The flagship-class Windows 10 Mobile handset launched there in August, priced at £706.80 including the Desk Dock accessory. But in December, HP quietly reduced its price by 5% to £673.20, and there were no indications that that price cut was part of a short-term promotional offer.

Then, in mid-January, HP significantly raised its price to £757.80, £50.40 (7%) higher than its original price, and £84 (12%) more than the price to which it dropped in December. Shortly after that, its price fell again, back to £706.80.

Now, yet again, HP has cut 5% off that price, and is once more selling the Elite x3 and Desk Dock for £673.20. The Desk Dock supports the PC-like Continuum mode in Windows 10 Mobile, allowing owners to use a mouse and keyboard with the handset when it's connected to a larger display.

As before, there's no hint that this reduction is a special offer - but there is one new deal available on the device. If you enter the code PRIVSCREEN at checkout when buying the Elite x3, HP will give you a free 'Privacy Screen' protector worth £10.80.
