Jim K Global Moderator Posted February 21, 2017 Global Moderator Share Posted February 21, 2017 Yep. Just treat it like a regular HDD... minus the whole defragging part.. Haha.
bikeman25
Yes I knew not to defrag the SSD, relaxes knowing can treat it just like a regular hard drive, minus defragging. starts backing up files, and getting prepared for it's arrival, and probably will do clean WIndows 10 pro Install, then new system image on external drive, then think ok after that
Mindovermaster Moderator Posted February 21, 2017 Moderator Share Posted February 21, 2017 Connection is same as the HDD. Plus what Jim said.
Circaflex
Windows 10 will recognize the drive is a SSD and will take care of disabling anything not needed, like defragging (instead it will optimize the drive, IE trim). Install new SSD Install Windows 10 Install any chipset drivers That is all.
