Today, Adobe announced the February update of Experience Design CC, also known as Adobe XD. The news comes just after two months after the company launched the first Windows beta for the app.
One of the new features is the ability to host pinned comments. Anyone will be able to add one if they're signed in, and it will associate a comment with a location on the artboard. To add one, you would type your comment and click "Pin to Artboard".
Another feature, which has been anticipated since the first beta was launched, is the ability to share prototypes. This has been available on macOS since launch, but the Windows version hadn't had feature parity, so today's update brings the app closer to that.
Also lacking from the Windows version was the Start Screen, which - like in many Adobe apps - gives you access to your recently accessed files and a number of shortcuts.
As you can see from the image above, the February update brings scrollable artboards to Windows 10. You can drag down the bottom, or you can change the scrolling properties in the Property Inspector.
Background Blur and Object Blur have also been brought over to Windows, both of which are features that Adobe users should be familiar with. The two features pretty much do opposite things, where Background Blur blurs anything behind an object, while Object Blur blurs the object itself.
As you can see, the big focus of this update was to bring the Windows 10 app closer to feature parity with the macOS version, and Adobe says that that will continue to be the focus for the next few months. As for Mac users, the firm says that it's working on productivity features "that are taking a little longer to bake."
