Don't get too comfy around Windows Defender :) Windows Defender was always a terrible performer and should be un-bundled from Windows as a precautionary security measure.

To be fair the MSRT doesn't have definitions for every virus ever created. the MSRT is not an antivirus. it scans for specific infections

Yes. Weird they would test MSRT as an Antivirus program...which it really isn't...per se.  As you and Microsoft say... it "helps remove infections by specific, prevalent malicious software."
