LG demos G6 features in catchy new video

LG officially unveiled its flagship handset, the G6, just a couple of hours ago. The successor to last year's G5 ditches the modular design, and instead opts for a rather unique 5.7-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. This "Full Vision" display was the center of the company's focus during its presentation as the company touted how this would enhance the usability and productivity of the handset.

To that end, LG has uploaded a new, and rather catchy, video on its official YouTube channel that demos the features of the G6, which includes the display as well as the device's camera and imaging software. You can watch the video below:

As can be seen from the video above, the 18:9 aspect ratio of the 5.7-inch Full Vision display makes good use of the imaging software present on the G6, allowing for a whole new set of photography techniques and enhancements including square camera snapshot, match shot, grid shot, guide shot and 360-degree panorama.

Other aspects the video touches upon is the water and dust resistance of the G6, as well as the dual 13MP rear cameras, one of which is a wide-angle lens that allows for up to 125-degree viewing angles - which is more than the human eye can manage. It also noted how the Full Vision display is HDR10 and Dolby Vision HDR capable.

Apart from the aforementioned features, the LG G6 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, a fingerprint reader, and also supports Google Assistant. That said, it is worth noting that pricing details have not been revealed as of yet, but we do know that the device will be available in the US starting in April 2017.
