Microsoft releases Windows 10 for PCs builds 14393.970 and 10240.17320 - here's what's new [Update]

Microsoft is releasing new cumulative updates for Windows 10 PCs today that are running either the Anniversary Update (version 1607), or the original version of the OS, 1507. In fact, it's only been nine days since all versions were updated for Patch Tuesday, but this is the second cumulative update since, for 1607.

Here's what's new in KB4016635, or 14393.970:

  • Addressed a known issue with KB4013429 that caused form display issues with CRM 2011 on Internet Explorer 11.

  • Addressed the issue with KB4013429 that prevents users from updating apps from Windows Store with 0x80070216 error.

And here's what's new in KB4016637, or 10240.17320:

  • Addressed a known issue with KB4012606 that caused form display issues with CRM 2011 on Internet Explorer 11.

From our test machines, we found that the updates don't seem to be available just yet. They should be on the way though, as they're listed in the Windows 10 Update History. Also, it's a bit odd that nothing is listed for version 1511, since an issue with Internet Explorer seems to be present across the board.

Interestingly, there's still nothing available for Windows 10 Mobile, which still has an unpatched, unacknowledged security flaw that leaves your entire camera roll exposed to anyone that picks up your locked phone.

Update: There is now an update listed for version 1511, which is KB4016636, or 10586.842, and it has the same Internet Explorer fix as the other two.
