Colony Reborn is a free DLC arriving on March 30 for Titanfall 2

Respawn Entertainment has announced Colony Reborn as the next free DLC hitting Titanfall 2 this month. The DLC is coming packed with a remastered map as well as a familiar weapon from the original Titanfall. Accompanying them is a new execution move and a few optional cosmetic items purchasable via the in-game store.

The above trailer does quite well in showing off the content in all its glory, with all the action taking place in the newly remastered Titanfall map, Colony, that the developers describe as:

This classic should be familiar to longtime Titanfall fans. Set among a sleepy settler town, the dense center is filled with narrow streets, interiors, and rooftops surrounded by open Titan lanes.

With it comes the R-101, a classic weapon from the previous game, and the Curb Check execution involving a brutal grapple head slam.

Regarding the cosmetic items being added to the store; the Northstar and Legion Titans are getting Prime variants, giving them new color schemes and Titan execution animations. There are also new Titan Nose Art, Camo, and Callsign packs being introduced for customizing your arsenal.

To celebrate Colony Reborn's launch, Titanfall 2 will have a free trial running from March 30 to April 3, giving you full access to the game's multiplayer modes, along with double XP for the duration. The single-player missions, Training Gauntlet and The Beacon, are also playable for free, but Respawn has said that they "will remain free to play in perpetuity," serving as a demo for the game.

The DLC is preparing to drop on March 30th, accompanied by a patch containing many improvements, balance updates, and bug fixes - with more details arriving later.
