Windows 10 build 14393.1230 is now available for PCs - here's what's new

Microsoft today released yet another cumulative update for Windows 10 PCs, the second this month for those that are still using the Anniversary Update. The first was on the second Tuesday of the month, which is better known as Patch Tuesday.

The firm also released an update yesterday for the Creators Update, which was also available for phones on the Release Preview ring. Today's build, however, is exclusive to PCs, as there is no Windows 10 Mobile update available just yet for the devices that are ineligible for the Creators Update.

Windows 10 for PCs build 14393.1230, or KB4023680, only contains a single fix:

  • Addressed issue where End User Defined Characters (EUDC) may not be visible in some applications.

Microsoft also stated that this cumulative update provides "quality improvements", so it's a non-security update with no new features. According to the company, there are no known issues.

As always, you can grab today's build through Windows Update by going to Settings -> Update & security -> Windows Update. You can also download it manually through the Microsoft Update Catalog.
