EA's exceptionally popular life simulation game, The Sims 4, seems to be leaving its PC exclusivity and arriving for a brand-new platform later this year. Almost three years after landing on PC, The Sims 4 is now heading for the Xbox One, according to a store page listing of the game on the Microsoft Store, as reported by TrueAchievements.
It's not entirely surprising that The Sims 4 is heading to the consoles, considering The Sims 3 also launched on a number of consoles sometime after its PC launch. It's unclear if the game's foray into the console space will be exclusive to the Xbox One, or if the game will also be available on PlayStation 4.
All in all, with a store page already up, it's probably just a matter of time before EA makes an official announcement regarding The Sims 4's console release.
For anyone unfamiliar with the game, the store page's description says the following:
Enjoy the power to create and control people in a virtual world where there are no rules. Express your creativity as you customize your Sims’ distinct appearances and unique personalities. Choose their fashions, select their hairstyles, and give them life aspirations. Effortlessly build your Sims the perfect homes with the all-new room-based Build Mode, choosing your favorite designs and décor.
The store page does not list a price for the game as of yet but does specify its launch date to be November 17, 2017. Anyone who pre-orders the game is set to receive The Sims 4 Perfect Patio Stuff DLC for free.
Moreover, there is a separate store page for a 'Deluxe Party Edition', which is also missing a price but does definitely sound more expensive than the standard edition. Other than the aforementioned DLC, this version comes with three additional content packs including Life of the Party, Up All Night, and Awesome Animal Hats, as well as three days of early access to the game.
