Xbox One Backward Compatibility list now includes over 400 games, as three were added today

Today, Microsoft added three more titles to the list of Xbox 360 games that are playable on the Xbox One via the Backward Compatibility program. The new additions include Gyruss, Raiden IV, and Red Faction: Armageddon.

More importantly, these bring the list to the milestone of having over 400 games - or 402, to be specific. Here's what's new today:

Gyruss ($4.99)

Relive this classic arcade shooter and save the Earth from an alien armada. Fight through 23 levels of enemies as you fly through the solar system from Neptune, past Uranus, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars till you finally reach your destination, Earth. Full version features all levels, leaderboards, new multiplayer modes over Xbox Live®, and 12 achievements. Do you have what it takes to save Earth?

Raiden IV ($19.99)

"Raiden IV", the latest version in the acclaimed arcade shooter has arrived on the Xbox 360! Fight yoru way through countless enemy squadrons using four devastating weapons types. Connect to Xbox LIVE to upload your scores and replays. Share and watch replays and see if you stack up against the best ACES in the world. Get ready for action in this latest version with never before seen levels and content!

Red Faction: Armageddon ($29.99)

Mankind finds itself poised on the brink of extinction deep underground. Darius Mason is humanity’s last hope for survival.

While 402 sounds like a lot of games, the list is set to expand at a faster pace later on this year, as Microsoft announced at E3 that it will be adding games from the original Xbox to Backward Compatibility.

Also, it's nearing the end of the month, which means that if you haven't grabbed July's Games with Gold yet, you should. You've got until July 31 to grab Grow Up (Xbox One) and LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean (Xbox 360); and until August 15 to claim Runbow (Xbox One). Earlier today, the company also announced next month's Games with Gold.
