Assassin's Creed Origins' new cinematic trailer shows trouble brewing in ancient Egypt

While we saw the first gameplay footage of Assassin's Creed Origins at E3 earlier this year, an Assassin's Creed game without an action-packed cinematic trailer is unheard of, and Ubisoft kept the tradition alive today at Microsoft's gamescom conference. The newly released Assassin’s Creed Origins cinematic trailer is seen above, showcasing some beautiful scenery and various historical figures that will surely make appearances in the game.

As confirmed at E3, Origins is set in ancient Egypt, and the trailer gives us glimpses of Cleopatra and Caesar, as they appear to be preparing for war. During the latter half of the trailer, we finally see our new protagonist, Bayek, in a brutal fight while attempting to perform an assassination, which surprisingly, ends with him losing his target.

Arriving after a two-year break following Syndicate's launch as a fresh take on the series, Assassin's Creed Origins is slated to launch on October 27 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The game will also be available in 4K Ultra HD on the upcoming Xbox One X console.
