Telltale's Batman: The Enemy Within episode two premieres on October 3

Telltale Games' Batman series returned for a second season back in August with 'The Enigma', bringing back some familiar faces as well as some new ones to the series. And now, it is almost time for the second episode, titled 'The Pact', to hit the streets. The episode's brand new trailer is seen above.

'The Pact' will pick up the story right where the first episode left off, with the new episode's synopsis provided by Telltale reading as follows:

The death of a villain at the hands of a mysterious assassin was just the beginning. As explosions rock Gotham, Batman races to meet a new foe, but encounters a force that may cause even the Dark Knight to fall. In the guise of the billionaire, Bruce meets John Doe's 'friends' and becomes enmeshed in a plot where the only way out is to go deeper in. But at what cost?

Neowin's Usama Jawad reviewed the first episode back when it released, concluding that "All in all, if you have $25 to spend, you can't possibly go wrong with Batman: The Enemy Within," and giving it a resounding 9.0 'Amazing' score in the verdict. Let's hope the season continues to knock it out of the park.

Batman: The Enemy Within episode two, The Pact, will launch on October 3, with it heading for Windows, macOS, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Both the first and second episodes will launch together for iOS and Android devices also on October 3, with future episodes planned for launch on the mobile platforms without a delay.

Meanwhile, the physical Season Pass disc version will be available for purchase at retailers on October 3 in North America and October 6 in Europe. The disk arrives with the season's first episode, with an additional download code for all upcoming episodes.
