AT&T's new Moto Mod allows users to push DirecTV Now to TVs

It was a little over a year ago when the Moto Z and Moto Z Force were announced, featuring all-new designs and also offering the ability to meld with modular accessories called Moto Mods. Since that time, Motorola has made a push with its accessories, promising that it would deliver more than 12 per year. Although it did deliver something new yesterday with the Alexa speaker, we are now getting a sneak peek at something that might be coming in the near future.

According to Android Authority, the AT&T Mobile TV Cast is a content streamer that has a detachable portion that can plug into modern TVs or displays. What makes this product easy to use is that it doesn't require a Wi-Fi network to work and will operate using the client's mobile data. Since DirecTV Now is included with AT&T services, the data used to stream the programming won't hit the account's data bucket.

According to the source, the device will also house a 2,720 mAh battery that will purportedly be able to provide extra juice to the phone and also power the streaming components. Unfortunately, at this time, there isn't a price or release date available.
