It really doesn't come as a surprise, but apparently, HTC is just that much closer to releasing the Android 8.0 Oreo update for its U11 handset. LlabTooFeR on Twitter, who has a good track record when it comes to HTC products, let it be known that the Android 8.0 update is in the final stages of development and should arrive in November or December.
Naturally, this is to be expected, considering that HTC has already stated multiple times previously that it would deliver the update by the end of the year. Regardless, this is good news considering that a majority of handsets aren't currently on the latest from Google, stuck with Android Nougat instead.
In a matter of weeks, HTC is poised to announce a new handset, one that could eclipse the U11 in terms of specifications and looks. The mystery phone is expected to arrive on November 2 running Android 8.0 Oreo.
