Nokia 2 gets regulatory approval in Russia, could launch soon

HMD Global just launched the Nokia 7 at an event in China, but it doesn't look like the company is done with its announcements for this year, as yet another device has received regulatory approval, this time in Russia.

Back in July, we first heard about the Nokia 2, along with the Nokia 7 and Nokia 8. The other two devices have now launched, and the launch of the Nokia 2 will allegedly happen next month as per NokiaMob.

The Nokia 2 is expected to be an entry-level device featuring a Snapdragon 212 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 4000 mAh battery, and the screen size could be under five inches. From the device's leaked render, it looks quite similar to some of the Nokia Lumia smartphones.

In addition to the Nokia 2, the Nokia 9 with a curved screen and Infinity Display could be announced by HMD Global by the end of the year. A photo of the phone's back case was also leaked recently showing up the same schematic as the leaked image of the device.
