LG V30 now available as an unlocked variant in the United States

Although the LG V30 has been available from carriers in the United States since early October, the handset is now finally making its way to retailers as an unlocked variant. For those unfamiliar, an unlocked model does not have wireless carrier restrictions and also does not come with any carrier added software.

The unlocked V30 is now available from reputable retailer B&H Photo Video and is priced at $819.99. While this is quite a pretty penny to pay for the handset, it isn't that much more than some of the options that you'll find from the likes of AT&T and T-Mobile but is priced lower than the model offered by Verizon. While unlocked models tend to favor GSM carriers, it appears that the V30 being sold by B&H does offer support for CDMA. Of course, you'll want to check with your carrier to make sure this model will work on its network.
