Google's Account page is getting redesigned to be more user-friendly

Google is redesigning its Google Account page on iOS, Android and the web in order to make it easier and more intuitive for users. The new Google Account page makes navigating your account faster. and the firm has added detailed summaries of things like your personal info, connected devices, subscriptions, and so on.

"We’ve added new features in your Google Account to make it even easier to review and control this data. We’ve introduced a new search functionality that enables you to find settings and other info you might be looking for in your account, like how to change your password," explained Google Account Product Manager, Jan Hannemann. "When you have a problem but don't quite know what to look for, you can access a new dedicated support section as well. There, you'll find help with common tasks, like upgrading your account storage, and get answers from community experts."

Google is also addressing a common complaint: hidden privacy controls. With this update, the firm says it's made its privacy options "easy to review with our new intuitive, user-tested design." Now, users have access to a Data and Personalisation tab (pictured above) which easily highlights what kind of activity is stored on your Google accounts like Web activity, Location History and YouTube history -- among others. Under the Data and Personalization tab, you'll also be able to see how the individual privacy settings shape the way Google serves ads and search results to you.

These changes will roll out to Android users from today, and to iOS and web users later this year.
