Microsoft's Store app gets a revamped design on the desktop

Microsoft has rolled out a new update to the Store app for Windows 10 users. This new update has brought a redesigned version of the app, introducing a new application of the depth element of the Fluent Design System.

The product pages for apps and games have been redesigned with this in mind. The titles now scroll in parallax to the header which is now a large full-width image or in some cases, a video trailer.

Reviews no longer display automatically, they are now hidden in a tab alongside system requirements and related content. Instead, Microsoft highlights user relevant content like a general overview of the app, details of the most recent update and screenshots and trailers on the very first page.

Aside from the design changes, Microsoft has added the option to remotely install apps to different devices you own just like the the company's web store offers.

It appears Microsoft is rolling out this update to all Windows 10 users gradually. As this is a server-side update, you don't need to update it, it'll activate on your PC once the firm flips the proverbial switch.
