Although we are still a couple weeks out from the retail debut of the Surface Go, pre-orders are currently available from a wide variety of vendors. However, if you are also looking to get a small deal for pre-ordering the device, you might want to head over to Best Buy.
The retailer currently has two variants of the Surface Go available, but unlike other retailers, is offering up a $50 gift card just for pre-ordering. The gift card could be quite useful to a Surface Go owner who is considering the purchase of the Type Cover. The Type Cover does not come included and does cost a minimum of $99.99.
Best Buy offers a 4GB RAM model with 64GB internal storage for $399 or, if you need a little more, you can purchase the 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage for $549. If the 4GB RAM model catches your eye but 64GB of internal storage isn't enough, you might want to purchase your unit through Costco, which apparently has a special variant exclusive to the retailer. This model is priced at $549 but does include a Signature Type Cover as well.
The Surface Go will be available on retail shelves starting on August 2 in the United States and Canada, and will roll out to other regions over the next month.
