Google rumoured to launch second-generation Pixelbook along with Pixel 3 this fall

The rumours about Google's upcoming Pixel 3 devices (Pixel 3 & Pixel 3 XL) first appeared back in May this year; the Google Pixel 3 XL will supposedly come with a bezeless display and a notch, which Android P supports natively. A new leak suggests that Google is also planning to announce a second-generation Pixelbook along with the Pixel 3 smartphones at its launch event this fall.

The news comes directly from Evan Blass who is known to be terribly accurate when it comes to leaking new information about upcoming tech. The first generation Pixelbook was launched back in October of 2017 and it came with an impressive configuration consisting of a 7th-generation Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 128GB SSD for storage.

Pixelbook has always been a flagship when it comes to Chromebooks and it replaced the Chromebook Pixel with a new lineup that stands as an example of what Google imagines a Chromebook to be.

As per the leaks, the new Pixelbook will come with smaller bezels and will ship to customers before the year ends. There have been rumours about upcoming Chromebooks having support for Project Fi and UFS as well. Google was also allegedly working on AltOS mode that might allow users to install a secondary operating system on their Pixelbook. Earlier, in January this year, Google published a list of devices that can run Fuchsia OS, and the Pixelbook was one of them.
