Brandon H Supervisor Posted September 20, 2018 Supervisor Share Posted September 20, 2018 since this morning this weird box keeps rendering for a few moments then disappears on every forum page when i navigate to or refresh a page. I am a sub2 so it 'shouldnt' be the ad box but you never know so pinging @sheinbein just in case
Steven P. Administrators Posted September 21, 2018 Administrators Share Posted September 21, 2018 Well done for pinging a dev on this, but I think our advertiser has implemented a new "ad wrapper" thing or javascript on the site and it is breaking the front page and forum. I reported it a couple hours ago, but will add this too so they can rule it out, or fix the problem. (y) Brandon H 1 Share

Brandon H Supervisor Posted September 24, 2018 Author Supervisor Share Posted September 24, 2018 @Steven P. it seemed good all day but just a couple minutes ago the box started appearing every page load again
Steven P. Administrators Posted September 25, 2018 Administrators Share Posted September 25, 2018 You will have to do F12 "Inspect" the part where the box is appearing and give me a screenshot, because without additional info, what can I report? Brandon H Supervisor Posted September 25, 2018 Author Supervisor Share Posted September 25, 2018 it disappears too quickly for me to do that; i'll try to catch it with chrome's performance scan one of these times. I realized it may also be caused by a plugin my company recently installed too so I'll know for sure if I can catch it
Brandon H Supervisor Posted September 25, 2018 Author Supervisor Share Posted September 25, 2018 got it it seems like the below code doesn't start hidden but is dynamically changed to 'display: none' at page load I changed it from 'none' to 'block' to verify it's the right field <iframe name="__cmpLocator" style="display: none;"></iframe>
Steven P. Administrators Posted September 25, 2018 Administrators Share Posted September 25, 2018 Doesn't appear to be an ad? Or am I missing something?
+sheinbein Subscriber² Posted September 25, 2018 Subscriber² Share Posted September 25, 2018 That iframe is being injected from quantcast GDPR code. Me being in the US, the injection is correctly not occurring for me. Attaching screenshot of the code for @Steven P. & @DaveLegg's reference. Steven P. Administrators Posted October 1, 2018 Administrators Share Posted October 1, 2018 I don't know then, a dev will have to help you seeing as it also appears to only affect you.
