Samsung patents a fingerprint reader that works on the entire screen

a patent is one thing but I'd love to see a working model; hopefully they're actually working on something and not just filing this to sit on it...

 

This is exactly how I would envision fingerprint reading to work on a smartphone IMHO making use of the whole screen so you don't have to be precise on placement :yes:
