Far Cry New Dawn officially announced, will be a direct sequel to Far Cry 5

The new Far Cry game that Ubisoft teased a couple of days ago received a full reveal during The Game Awards today. The new title is New Dawn, a colorful post-apocalyptic game set 17 years after the events of Far Cry 5, which was pretty explosive. See the full trailer up above.

Although it is set after a nuclear event, the game's environments look much greener and alive than what we are used to in the Fallout series, for instance, with the world healing and civilization beginning to pick back up.

The main villains this time seem to be twins who are going around taking over peaceful settlements of survivors back in Hope County, Montana. In a new feature called Expeditions, players will be able to take "dangerous journeys to far-off locations across the US" in search of supplies to bring back. These areas will offer unique new biomes, dangers, and rewards.

Far Cry New Dawn will be available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on February 15 2019 with a $39.99 price tag.
