SoCalRox
have a backup of a work laptop that died about 2 years ago. I have the VHD on a Windows 10 Pro machine and I am looking to see what I can extract from it. At the time, the laptop had McAfee disk encryption. Will the encryption affect my ability to extract files, or did Windows back the disk up in its unencrypted form?

I was going to suggest the same thing....try it and see....don't think there's any harm. FunkyMike 1 Share
SoCalRox
I's almost a 300GB download- won't be down until tomorrow. I just don't want to waste time and VPN bandwidth if it is going to be a problem.
SoCalRox
Just looked using UltraEdit, and I could read the data from an aborted download, so I am thinking it must not be encrypted in the backup.
