While most are just getting settled in with their Samsung Galaxy S10 phones, it looks like the company has pushed out an update, bringing important improvements and security enhancements to the new flagships.
According to the release notes, it will bring stability improvements to the Camera and will also improve performance of the Wireless PowerShare feature. Unfortunately, it doesn't give specifics about how the PowerShare feature will be improved, but lets hope there is more efficiency when it comes to transfer of power between devices. Along with improvements to the phones features, it also becomes more secure with March security updates.
If you're checking for the update, be on the look out for software version G973FXXU1ASC8 for the Galaxy S10,G975FXXU1ASC8 for the S10+, and G970FXXU1ASC8 for the Galaxy S10e. According to SamMobile, the new update is currently landing on phones in the United Kingdom and Germany. Checking our own Galaxy S10+, we can confirm that it has yet to arrive in the United States.
If you're curious if the update is available in your region, be sure to head to the settings menu on your phone, then to the software and update section, and manually try to download and install updates. If nothing comes up, be patient, as Samsung will push it to other regions in time.
