Lenovo Dial Assistant shows up on the Microsoft Store for its Precision Dial

Lenovo today released the Lenovo Dial Assistant app on the Microsoft Store, aimed at creative professionals. The app is meant to control the settings for the company's Precision Dial, the peripheral that shipped with the Yoga A940, which was announced at CES this year.

Competing with Microsoft's Surface Studio (and the Surface Dial), the Yoga A940 has a convertible hinge, a 27-inch 4K display, a Dolby Atmos audio soundbar, a real desktop processor, and a wireless charging pad. It also has a 4GB AMD Radeon GPU, which is probably the one area where it gets outperformed by the Surface Studio 2.

Unlike the Surface Dial, which is placed on top of the screen, Lenovo's Precision Dial plugs into a USB Type-A port. There's a port on either side of the screen, and the Precision Dial has a button and two dials. Holding the button should bring up the Lenovo Dial Assistant app.

Right now, the Lenovo Dial Assistant app supports Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Lightroom, and Illustrator. For Microsoft Office, it supports Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. It also supports Autodesk Sketchbook and general Windows. You can download the app here.
