Lenovo's Smart Clock is a fairly interesting device which takes a traditional product and tries to add some smart features to it. It's a lot like Google's Home Hub or Lenovo's own smart displays, but it's much smaller and cheaper than those devices. When our own Rich Woods reviewed it back in June, though, one of the big flaws he pointed out was the lack of Google Photos integration.
Now, Google is rolling out a software update that addresses exactly that, giving users the ability to use the Lenovo Smart Clock as a digital frame. The clock can use your Google Photos pictures or featured images powered by Google itself.
The new update also includes some of the improvements that the Mountain View company announced for Google Assistant on smart displays earlier this year. This includes Continued Conversations, which let you continue talking to the Assistant without having to say "Hey Google" every time. The feature will be available in English first. The Smart Clock will also work with smart cameras you may have, so you can use it to check who's at the door, for example.
