Nvidia outs Hotfix driver 441.34 to address Red Dead Redemption 2 hanging on many-core CPUs

Nvidia has released a hotfix driver update version 441.34, which aims to address a couple of issues based on user feedback on the GeForce forums.

Apparently, using the Vulkan and DX12 APIs posed problems in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, respectively.

There was some stalling and hanging on 4-core and 6-core chips when using the Vulkan API in Red Dead Redemption 2, which is fixed by this.

It also mends a problem in Shadow of the Tomb Raider whereupon it crashed when launched on the DirectX 12 mode.

This release is based on the previous 441.20 WHQL driver, so it contains all the optimizations of the previous release as well. Needless to say, if you aren't playing the above games or you do not encounter the aforementioned issues on your system, you can skip updating to this.

The drivers can be downloaded via the following links:

You can provide feedback or report your issues if any, on this thread in the GeForce forum.
