Need help my PC wouldn't start

I bought new parts for my pc a new power supply, new motherboard and a new Graphics card. I changed all the components and my PC turns ON for like 2-3 second then it turns off

My current parts are 

Msi Meg z390 MB

Intel i7-7700k processor

32g of ram 

X2 2T hard drive

A 1600w PSU

X2 Rtx 2080ti gpu

The motherboard and processor aren't even compatible.

Yep, the z390 only supports 8th/9th gen Intel CPUs.  So, either get a 8/9gen CPU or get a different motherboard which supports the 7700k.

 

tl;dr ... that motherboard and CPU aren't compatible.

I question why they felt the need for a 1600w psu for that build as well. Not trying to pick on the op but that just seems excessive in the extreme.

My guess is he has the money to burn...

 

I have a 1200W, but I got it at a good price.

My guess is considering he is buying incompatible parts he doesn't actually know what he's doing and just thought bigger is better.

You have a 7th gen, it's not compatible so buy a newer CPU or an older motherboard that supports 7th gen Intel CPU, I would check your memory too as you didn't list the model.

like the others have pointed out. your  CPU and motherboard aren't compatible. you'll need an 8th or 9th gen intel CPU to run on that mobo.

Also it does seem like you have spent money on your specs quite disproportionately. unless you need all the features that z390 has to offer, you are most likely better off with a cheaper motherboard and a better processor. The PSU also seems overkill. Your 2080 Ti combined with a 9900KS  both overclocked (worst case) system will never ever exceed 1000 watts.

 

And lastly, you haven't listed whether you have an SSD or not. If you don't, I highly recommend you get one. You will definitely not regret.
